Whittle Aero V-8 Cylinder Pics

I probably won't 'serialize' this build due to the fact that I never stop and think about taking pics when I'm machining ;)

Start with ugly round stock turned to .660.

Next cut the cylinder sleeve that slips into the case

Step in and cut a relief to the bottom of the first fin

The relief area betwee the bottom fin and the cylinder base flange

Cutting the first fin relief

All 8 fin reliefs cut, and yes it really looks that bad on the cuts

Drilling 7/16 to rough the bore

Cut the top of top fin and the o-ring seat at proper level, file the fins, and part off

A neat pic of the cylinder, stock, and a quarter for size
